What solutions do you have to connect the Ford callipers to the standard Triumph flexi ?

I've had these made, after a lot of development, I arrived at this handed design, over 20 pairs sold in the last few years.

Sorry they aren't twenty quid! They come out at £65 per pair including UK postage, I have some in stock.

I just used copper brake pipe. Technically incorrect but there is enough 'give' in the copper. Never had any problems and they're still on PKN afaik...

Early converted cars are often like this, because that's how Jon did it on his first one! At that time, there simply wasn't access to bespoke flexis we have today.
He's admitted it's not a perfect solution and I agree for 2 reasons, firstly, the caliper is always moving against the fixed pipe retaining bracket in service, only a mm or two in the main, but still moving every time the brakes are applied and released, with an underlying trend outwards as the pads wear. This is a prime candidate for work hardening and failure of the pipe.
Secondly is the necessity to remove the pipe and therefore have to re-bleed at least when taking the caliper off for changing pads or bend it out of the way (which is worse)
With a flexi in place, neither of these potential problems exist. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't take ANY chances with brakes. OTT? Maybe! But i'd rather be safe than sorry! The way I drive, my first prang will likely be my last!

You can buy all the parts from car builder solutions to make the pipes up yourself. I did exactly that. There are no special tools required, and it’s not too difficult. if you are confident enough to work on your brakes then go for it. If not I’d buy a pair from Steve at that price.

I'm not even bothered if you want to copy my design, in fact I think it best if you do. Mine went through 4 development changes to end up how they are, a handed pair with 90 degree angles very close to each of the ends. The angle at the main flexi end is to allow it to fit to the unmodified flexi bracket and the angle at the caliper end is to stop the arc of the hose rubbing on the upper wishbones when the suspension is compressed (this is exagerated further if the car is lowered or on lock - or both) The handedness comes from there being 2x90 degree angles that are not in line or opposed to each other but at 120 degrees apart, 1 to the left on the right side and it's complement on the other side.
