Rubber door seal

#1 Post by RichardHyde »

Morning all,
Will soon be rebuilding my freshly painted doors. Can anybody recommend any rubber door seals ? Has anybody tried universal ones like this ?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10FT-Door-Se ... 635-2958-0

Thanks, Richard

Cannot reccomend any door seals as such since it's a long time since i bought any, not sure the ones in the link will fit around the actual door as Dolomite ones sit in a channel and those seem to sit on the edge of a door (you might be able to fit in place of where the furflex is though ? ) take a look at the list of suppliers .

Hi Richard,

The seal supplied by East Kent Trim Supplies is a faithful reproduction of the original.
However it is supplied as a length and needs to be cut to fit. The mitred joint can be
created quite readily at the right angle corner and bonded with Supper Glue.

Like the OEM seals, the new seal will take a while to settle in place and require a little extra
effort when closing for a few weeks.
