I am considering buying a vapour/wet blaster.
Does anyone have any experiance with these?
Are they easy to use, any known pitfalls?
I know they are expensive, could I offset the cost by doing small cash jobs?

Any input greatly apreciated.

As nobody else has replied, I will!
No experience apart from having some done years ago after seeing te results.
however, the equipment is expensive. And it doesn't stop there. It seems people who do vapor blasting also do serious degreasing/parts cleaning, and usually offer ultrasonic cleaning too. All that stuff is costing 2K+ I expect.
Yes, there is demand for such work, seems a pair of carbs costs £40 to have done as a guide. But that is an awful lots of carbs etc before it makes headway into purchase costs. So think carefully. That sort of equipment needs to be used daily to pay for itself.

Did you get one, I've been thinking about it. I'm not worried about making my money back as i only do stuff for close friends otherwise i'd be spending all my spare time working for other people. for me its the convenience of not wasting time driving across the city and retuning a week later to collect and being about to clean pats as and when needed

Did you get one, I've been thinking about it. Been put on the back burner for now. Building new garage comes first.
