Brian Culcheth

Reminded of the passing of ex-works driver Brian Culcheth in the current issue of the Club magazine, I looked out some photographs I took when he visited the Club stand at the NEC in November 2016 which i thought some of you might enjoy. It was both fascinating and a privilege to meet and talk with him:

Brian Culcheth - his book

#2 Post by gmsclassics »

Sorry to hear that Brian has passed. I haven't seen this month's magazine, but if anyone hasn't seen his book "Brian Culcheth - Global Travels of a Rally Champion" by Pablo Rayboult with Brian Culcheth, it is well worth a read. It covers Brian's rallying career from the start of the 1960s until the end of the seventies and gives a great insight into rallying and what went on behind the scenes during those two decades.

I bought my copy direct from Brian a couple of years ago, not sure where they are for sale now.

You're welcome.

At the time he talked me out of pursuing the purchase of FRW812L as he knew quite a bit of its history
