Time to own up, new Toledo

Sorry Gentlemen about being a bit vague about my Toledo, I wanted it in my garage before I announced the vehicle to the world, Its a well know car within these hallowed circles, I did not want to get beaten to the car,
I appreciate it needs a bit of work on the rear arch and a couple of smaller bits, but it will get done over the winter, then for a carb rebuild and a good setup, its in good hands..........

Well congratulations on buying what is probably THE most iconic modified Toledo around. I hadn't even heard it was for sale!

I'm sorry to hear that it now needs some body repairs, but by the same token, it was completed around the same time as my Carledo was and that also now needs some serious bodywork. So I can only conclude that HMH has also been used thoroughly and enjoyed in the intervening years!

I've done 3+ times that mileage in the same time frame. With little more than annual oil and filter changes. The Vaux motor is tough as old boots. But mines been a more or less daily drive since 2017.

So I am told TR4 seats, surprisingly comfy too

I have a TR6 and its fitted with MX5 seats, a very common mod in TR circles, those look identical, possible they came out of TR4, but they don't look like TR4 seats, they never had headrests.

I think I will have a look and see if there is a better plumbing solution for the car, its a but like Medusa on a bad hair day in the engine bay,
The car is is now enconced in my garage at home, its a bit snug, too snug, planning to find more space by playing Tetris today.
The engine is a bit of a mystery, I know its been tuned with cams etc, BUT, its tired, theres a cam tap, only one, has one of the followers given up, or is it a mechanical cam set up, also the pistons sound a bit Skirt slappy, if its had pistons, short skirts may have been used, and theres a bit of blow by too in as much as you can remove the oil cap rest it over the filler hole and the cap will slightly hover about 5mm in the air, and the 45s do need a looking at as they hemorrhage fuel out of the trumpets in a steady dribble, I have rebuild kits, but don't have a pressure gauge,.... Yet, oh and it may have the famous Porus Head, I know its not a hard fix, or at least it should not be... Ha Ha,
Quiten the thing down, when it comes on cam even deaf people can hear it, not sure if its induction noise or the exhaust blows, again it could be induction because the exhaust is extremely restricted causing a real back pressure issue, I have yet to try my Simpson manifold for fit,
Does anybody know the engine specs on this car, I have very little history on the engine, other than side drafts, stg1 cams and some slight headwork,
