With SM posts quickly disappear off the page so it's difficult to have a continuos discussion or find a previous one. Forums are far better geared toward the kind of support club members (especially new car owners) are looking for and should be promoted as the place to seek help.

For me I am a member of a few of the above mentioned groups and its mainly to see/buy stuff that pops up and goes quickly. The only reason I joined FB was for that. I use a lot of car, bike , engineering type pages and dont follow people who show what they had for lunch etc.
I still use a few forums too and this is the best Ive ever been a part of and still is great for searching for info or numbers etc.
