Sprint/1850 Water Pump Bypass Tube

#1 Post by Galileo »

Rimmers are out of stock with a floating availability date, so thought I'd ask here (and on FB) if anyone has a NOS one lying around that they would part with?
Current fleet: '75 Sprint, '73 1850, Daihatsu Fourtrak, Honda CG125, Yamaha Fazer 600, Shetland 570 (yes it's a boat!)

Past fleet: Triumph 2000, Lancia Beta Coupe, BL Mini Clubman, Austin Metro, Vauxhall Cavalier MK1 & MK2, Renault 18 D, Rover 216 GSI, Honda Accord (most expensive car purchase, hated, made out of magnetic metal as only car I've ever been crashed into...4 times), BMW 318, Golf GTi MK3 16v x 3

Good shout! I always forget about them! That's the thing with not having a website nowadays, I forget to try them.

Fitchetts have an eBay shop, you can contact them through that https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?ssPag ... tdfitchett

They list the bypass tube here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116066534381 ... Sw1Sti~gK4

Today I learnt two things, that Fitchett's are on eBay (duly purchased) and that there was a different bypass tube without the separate O rings! On looking my old tube was clearly the moulded type as well.

Thanks for the suggestions and the offer Alun.

They bypass tubes with the fitted rubber sleeve were fitted to both early 1850s and Sprints.
The metal part is actually mild steel (so will rust).
