Sprint wheels were at the forefront of alloy wheel tech (The Sprint was the first production car with Alloy wheels as standard, yada yada)

As such they didn't have steel inserts at all but relied on parallel ferrule flat seat alloy nuts to secure them, as did a lot of aftermarket alloy wheels of the same time period. Are you sure your new/old Compos aren't that type?

Deffo not flat seat, the seat within the nut hole is 45deg taper, whereas most taper seats are 60degs, after talking to Compomotive today the thought the wheels would have had a 45 degree taper insert with a internal 60 degree taper, now you have confirmed they have no inserts in the sprint wheels, Im going to grind up a counterbore and make the wheels fit the dolly sleeve nuts and not use inserts

Stag wheel nuts are 7/16 thread same as some Dolomites, but a lot of Stag wheel nuts are made in steel so less chance of stripping, to fit a Stag wheel nut to a Dolomite wheel you need to machine the wheel collar a bit as they don't fit a dolomite wheel, i know it works as i tried it myself
