How much when new?

#1 Post by eveshamcroft »

I was out and about in my Dolly 1500SE and a passer by was asking about the car. He asked how much it cost when new - and I had no idea! Does anyone have a BL price list from 1979/80 ?

That's interesting ! For Christmas I was given a framed repro; of a Dolomite poster from about 1978.
There are a number of interesting items...
* The fascia and door trims are described as "real walnut" . ( Is that so ? )
* Every car is sanded and sprayed by hand ! That must have taken some time on each car.
* Every car is tested for leaks !

" We proudly announce an impressive lack of change in the Triumph Dolomite . "

There is a photo of the Dolomite range with an 1850 HL and a 1500 HL. So 1978 --->
