I have just been looking at the Premier inn web site and currently the prices for Worksop on the Friday night before is £55, the Saturday £73, the Sunday £48, and the Monday £61 so I think it is worth considering having a few days in the area if you at travelling a fair distance. I hope at least some other Dolomite owners will stay over for a few days so that we can meet up at least in the evenings.

Am contemplating coming up from Plymouth for this year's TDCIR but I can't confirm yet as both myself and the missus are waiting for confirmation of medical appointments which are likely to happen in early Sept.
If we find ourselves available we will be there. Last minute hotel/b&B shouldn't be a problem. Cheers.

I won't be attending, I think the first in over 30 years that I will have missed!

Club stock that I keep won't be there either, so if you were hoping to collect something on the day you will need to voice that over the next week or so and we'll see if we can get the item(s) there for you via another member. Do NOT leave it to the last minute as that will be rewarded with disappointment.

Sorry we won't be seeing you this year Alun, but hope to catch up soon.
If you can make it Mike, it will be great to see you there. A good run from Plymouth, but a nice area to visit if you are able to have a few days break at the same time.

Best Wishes

MC

Indeed, after initially saying we would attend looking at the forecast of a yellow warning for thunder and lightning in place, a doubt was cast. Nevertheless Barbara packed a variety of clothing for the eventualities. We arrived in a bit of a drizzle that was gone in an hour or so after a hearty breakfast from the garden centre restaurant.
You know the saying “you get out what you put in” well we’ve attended many of these events over 30 odd years all over the country in the modern, whilst my car was at a pedestrian pace of restoration picking up advice and parts as we went.
Last year was our first event actually in the car being an unforgettable event for us, and part of realising what we set out to do all that time ago.
Yesterday we met with old acquaintances and made some new ones, speaking to many whose car was still at home in a similar position to me all that time ago, but they still turned up as did the dry warmer weather.
We did leave a little early due to a commitment Barbara had, so a heartfelt thanks go to all club officials, organisers, but especially to those members as we received the members choice car of the show award from all in attendance. It made all the effort for the last 30 years worth while
Many thanks 🙏
Hats off to you all.

These are some of the photos I took. Not a professional photographer though!
There was someone taking photos of cars arriving when I got there.
A very good location, well organised and a very enjoyable day.

Peter.

I went up to Worksop on the Wednesday before the event and did not come home until Tuesday. There were plenty of places to visit in the area. It was made more enjoyable as we were able to go out for an evening meal after the event with Mike Tailor and his wife. I am always disappointed that more club members do not make the annual rally as an excuse to have a few days away visiting the area and being able to meet up with other club members.
As usual the it was good to chat with fellow owners at the event and I should think that everyone who attended enjoyed the day. The location picked was good with plenty of things for other family members to see and do.
Many thanks to the organizers.
