Toledo speedo cable removal

#1 Post by Bunji »

Hi all, I'm planning to investigate Betty's speedo cable to see if I can cure the bouncing needle.

Is is possible to disconnect from the back of the speedo without removing the parcel tray?

Any recommended tips or tricks?

Thanks

It's POSSIBLE! Not terribly easy but it can be done. The screw that holds it on (more like a nut) is only designed to be finger tight. So you can do it without tools, it's just a question of getting your hand up the back of the dash!
