Just getting back to my 1500HL project after standing for a couple of years and both front callipers are seized solid. My feelings are that they are beyond a home refurb so I’m looking to replace them but they seem to be like hens teeth now (can’t see anything in the club spares these days although I think they used to be available as exchange). I suspect that they are almost identical to the late spitfire except for the hydraulic pipe entry position. I’m guessing I’m not the first person to ask this but does anyone know if I can go with a spitfire calliper and make up a new copper pipe to suit?
Id he grateful for any thoughts?
Thanks Alan

Re: 1500 HL brake calipers
Calipers still available on exchange through the club! They are not 1500 specific, they fit all models of Dolomite from 1300 to Sprint.

Re: 1500 HL brake calipers
I've had spitfire callipers fitted to my 1500HL , as you say there doesn't seem to be much difference.
