Early Hazard switch wiring

#1 Post by shaunroche »

Hi Chaps, would anyone be able to post an image of what wires go onto which terminals on an early, rectangular hazard light switch please?

It's one of the few things I didn't photograph on VA138 when taking it apart!

Thanks!

Hi Shaun,

If you look carefully at the switch the terminals are numbered.

If you have the repair manual the numbers are shown on the wiring schematic.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't work when you get it wired up! You haven't done it wrong, they just get gummy inside when unused for a while!

A good shot of Electrolube and some working should bring it back. A dicky hazard switch can stop the normal indicators working too. Ask me how I know!
