FWD 1300 special

#1 Post by eveshamcroft »

Where are all the 1300 FWD owners? I am doing a special issue of Dolly Mixture, for the 60th Anniversary of the 1300 and VERY FEW have sent in pictures and info. Where are you all? We need your pictures and stories!
I have 5 pages left for this special issue, dated for April/May, so if YOU have a FWD 1300, send something in to me ASAP.
PLEASE EMAIL ITEMS TO INFO@TRIUMPHDOLOMITECLUB.COM
Thank you

Hi
My Triumph 1300 FWD saloon.
18th October 1967
Originally bought in Wales and spent several years there untill sold and then bought into England where it sat in a garage as a display car.
Then purchased 2015 I believe off of e-bay and bought to Colchester.
The car was fully overhauled and a brake servo and electronic ignition were installed along with a clock and oil pressure gauge.
The bodywork is mostly original the front wings have been restored due to slight rust bubbles but that is all.
I acquired the car in September 2020.
Having owned a 1500 fwd in the late 70's and a 1300 in the 90's I am familiar with these cars.
The current original mileage is 21000 it was 18377 when I bought it.
Used throughout the spring summer autumn and is shown at many local shows.
A lovely example of the marque...
