Door trim clips

#1 Post by triumphdolomiteuk »

Not too often that I ask for help, but this one has me baffled! I need some plastic clips to hold the chrome strip on at the top of the door skins, the strip above the door handle. Can anyone help identify the part number? I note that there are a few suppliers of trim clips, Bresco being one that springs to mind, but I can't see anything that resembles these clips on their website. Any pointers gratefully received!

Hi Andy.

I think they are part number: 617243
Quite a small square clip, rather than the boomerang shaped version for the lower trim.

Best wishes

I couldn't spot anything similar, it may be the case that my (later model) car had different ones to those shown in the parts books, or more likely that they had been replaced with non-standard items at some point.

Thanks Matt. I might have to take a gamble on those as they look nothing like the ones which were on the car :-?

Interestingly, using that part number, these came up on the Chris Witor site; https://www.chriswitor.com/proddetail.php?prod=617243A
They look much more like the ones on my car.

I now have a definitive answer! The trim at the top of the door uses 76670P (Bresco part number) and the trim along the base of the C post uses 72650P. The two types are interchangeable. As Bresco supply the latter in bags of 30, that's what I'll be using. Howard at Bresco was extremely helpful. Thanks all
