No. The tickets are just if you want to visit the museum. The Dolly day is free to attend.
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

I intend attending the meet but won’t be doing the museum, as mentioned before we’ve been loads of times.
Be good to meet a few of you, bringing the wife too so be nice 🤣

Do we know if we have enough Museum entries to qualify for the discount?

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
It'll be the first time we've had four-up in the Dolomite. Let's see how cramped it gets ...
We aim to be there 1030-ish. Is that early enough?

Have contacted Haynes this afty to check on the take up for our SW Dolly Day at Haynes this Sunday (29th) and there still only 12 tickets bought so far.

To prevent all those who have booked for the museum being stung for the non discounted entry price (remember, we need 15 confirmed bookings) any one still hoping to turn up for the meet and enter the museum has until close of play tmrw (Fri 27) to book and get the discounted price.

Cheers chaps!

Good news!! Haynes confirm we have now reached the minimum of 15 bookings for their museum. My thanks to everyone who has booked - now I won't be coming round with my money box asking to make up any shortfall.
My Sprint is now fully functional (only as of Wednesday!!) so I plan to be at Haynes to see you all.
I'm hoping to be on site about 9:00.

For all you SW Dolly Daytrippers.

Just a few details for tmrw.

If you're not already aware, Haynes is about 1 mile east of Sparkford on the A303. If travelling from the east it might be best to pass the museum to your right and continue on to the Sparkford r/bout then turn back onto the A303. It is signposted so don't go too fast.
If coming from north then the A37, A371 then A359 will suit.

When exiting the A303 drive a few yds down to the junction (with agriculture or commercial
buildings) and turn right. Haynes is another few yards to your left.

As you enter the site just keep straight on (don't bear left for the museum carpark) then after about 100 yds enter the larger carpark which has bay parking on gravel & tarmac. If you turn right early and go into The Paddock you'll have to come out and take the next turning. There are some EV charging points there so just drive on till you are clear of them.

Their cafe is open at 09:30 and the museum is 10:00.

CU tmrw.

Well, a huge thank you to all who attended yesterday's gathering at Haynes. We all had a "a grand day out, Grommit"!!.Weather was great - not overly boiling, with the venue - improved vastly since our last gathering there in the mid 2000's - a great success.
My thanks too to all those who responded to my Sprint's head issue which at first seemed pretty terminal. You'll be pleased to learn that following the expert intervention of Mr Martin Stone (ably assisted by myself and the tools of the Flux Rescue van which I called for) we managed to re-torque the head. The Flux mechanic said he was not permitted to actually work on the car as it was classed as a maintenance issue and not a breakdown! I then asked him if I could borrow his tools, to which he agreed!
You'll be pleased to learn that the 12 mile drive back to my accommodation was problem free - but I did keep the speed down to 45 mph.
Bit more confident that my drive back to Plymouth today will also be issued free.

I'd like to add my thanks for the warm welcome we received.

After being actively caught up in a serious traffic incident on the A303, we ran much later than planned and very nearly abandoned the exercise. I'm glad we didn't. Such friendly people! Such sage advice! I'm already looking forward to the Basingstoke gathering.

Back home in Plymouth now after a trouble free run. Mightily relieved I can tell you! Kept her at 45 mph from Yeovil to Honiton then pedal to the metal Honiton to Plymouth at 50!! So tempted to tank on a bit faster!!
