Spring rates

#1 Post by Neil907 »

What spring rates would you recomend for a Sprint that is a daily driver, regularly auto tested and ocasionaly (probably becoming more frequent) trackdays. This is for my brothers sprint that I have just taken out for a thrash ahead of his up and coming track day at goodwood and I think that its way to soft at the minute. He will be running some sort of road leagal track tyre probably toyo R888's. He curently has 175lb front springs and stock rears on spax coil overs. I have to say the car felt well balanced and great fun but quite wallowy. I was thinking something around 250lb fronts and 210lb rears.
Any advice apreciated.

Is that the track day next Monday with CT?

I'm running 400lbs front & 200lbs rear at the mo. A good setup for the track but don't think I'd like it as a daily drive..
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

we have just been through all of the shocks that came with my car and found what we think are a set of 1" lower 175lb rear springs that can go on his car and he is going to buy 250lb fronts
