having been there today and driven my brothers sprint and knowing what time I was doing and taking his trafic into acount I would say that its probably a fast road engined dolly.
have to say tthe dolly held its own running similar times to mx5's,z3's,tt's,civics, my Jensen Healey and alike.
was a really good day and I was pleasently suprised by the sprint.

Yes he does know the track quite well. He used to race a TR5 & said his best lap time was a second quicker than the Sprint.

Actually I ment, coming out of the pit, there is this first corner ore even more a set of corners, a newbie would not aproge and pick the several apex in that way.
He kept the car nice going, did not have the impression it was a racing car, probable a set of Webers.
I mean shifting up, and than only whaaa, never a less an other nice video.

Hans

Hi folks let me introduce myself, I am the guy driving at Goodwood in the video and this is my first post on this forum.

I am flattered by some of the comments thanks.

My wife Diane also drives the sprint on track days (those are the times you may get past 8) ) she will most certainly join in to defend herself :D.

Oh BTW I have rejoined the TDC after a little absence.
track action maniac.

Welcome Trackerjack, another local :) I've driven Goodwood, but not in a Triumph, I got to drive a Ferrari 308 round it :)

Shameless plug time:

2nd Feb 2008, South Downs stages at Goodwood, organised by Southsea Motor Club and Bognor Regis Motor Club, plenty of action almost certainly guaranteed, and it'd be great if anyone has a Stage-prepped Dolly to bring out...

Hi Nick I am sure we will meet I note your Southsea Motor Club connection, I have 2 trophys tucked up in the cupboard from the Southsea MC's sprint at Goodwood in 1980 1st using a TR5 (second place Porsche 911 Turbo) and again 1st again in 1983 using a Stag (second place BMW 2002 Turbo).
I was a mad bugger in those days and went off on the odd occasion, I would not stand a chance against my old self.............but then I would have smashed the car up
