15 inch alloys?

#1 Post by mickey s »

Can I get away with putting minilite/sperlite 15inch alloys on my dolly?

Only want them on for looks and plan to have lower profile boots on.

Any advice?

It's possible, so long as the rolling radius (total tyre+wheel) isn't much more than standard, especially since I guess you'll want to lower it a bit as well to fill the arches better.

I'm Not thinking of lowering.

I think the stance on the Dolly is to nice to mess with.

They do sit well.

Fair enough then. Be careful with the width though as there isn't too much room in the arch.

195s would be pretty close, especially with that profile (it's a bit high for 15" wheels on a Sprint, your speedo would be well out too)

Yes I agree with dave...

We do know that 14 inch stag alloys with 185's fit okay but not sure if these were 70 profile or not.

I think 195'/65 15's may well foul the rear wheel arches...

There is a gearing table on a rover site somewhere that will tell you how far out your speedo will be.

Someone else will probably remember the URL...

I've run 185/55-14s on a Sprint before, and they rub sometimes on full bounce. 195/65-15 will be massive. You'll need to go lower profile like 50 or less, but what will will make or break it is the offset.

No chance, they are 2.33" bigger in diameter than standard, they will foul on everything and throw your speedo out 9.5%. 195 50's would give you the corect rolling radious.

try here to get an idea.
