Crich 2008
Crich 2008
Hope you all had a good Christmas. A Happy New Year everyone. I bet most of you had a diary from Santa so turn to 13th April 2008 and put down 'I must give this place a try'. We here in the Notts Derby and Leic Area are in the process of organising an all Triumph Day at Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire. We had a dummy run last year and it was a great success. So we are hoping for bigger and better this time. The people at Crich have given us the whole place to ourselves so there is loads of room and loads to see and do. It will be open to all Triumph vehicles so if you have an old bike in the shed bring that too. Want to know more? I will keep posting on this site or you can ring Frank (he's in all day and perhaps the best person to talk to about directions etc) on 01773 785715

Re: Crich 2008
I know that some of my Club Triumph friends are up for this. If we can get some more clubs on board then it should be a good turnout.

Re: Crich 2008
We had a little meeting yesterday to sort out the marshalling and food etc and the list of people that have said that they will come is quite impressive at the moment. A good turn out from Club Triumph and the 2000 register as well as the TDC. There is a TR6, Stag, a few 2000,2500 Dolly's of all varities and perhaps a Latham if it gets and passes it's MOT in time. There is also a very brave person who is thinking of camping overnight. I think it will be another good day.We are putting our gazebo by the band stand so do drop in for a cuppa and some cake.

I don't know which club hat I'll be wearing. It'll depend on which car I bring from my ever shrinking fleet.

Yep, it was a great day out..thanks to all who organised it.. Here are some pics of the day..

Re: Crich 2008
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you that came on Sunday. We had getting on for 100 cars turn up, thank goodness it was a dry day. I told you it was a great place, plenty to do for the whole family. We also made 200+ cups of tea and coffee and all the food went down well too I think. We still have one or two problems to sort out (the kettle not boiling quick enough for one) but hopefully these will be done by next year. Thanks for the pictures they are great. Thanks also to David Parrott who did a fantastic job as MC and marshalling the fleet. Tim Distin, Ian Birkin and Dave Marriott for their marshalling, Peter and Sharon Ramskill, Lee godfrey and Frank Ashton for manning the gate and not forgetting Rosemary Parrott, Julia Distin and Jenny (soon to be Mrs Godfrey) for helping me in the gazebo and providing the lovely cakes etc and wrapping all those prizes. Of course it wasn't just our club that was there. We wouldn't have had such a good turn out without Club Triumph, 2000 register and the Sporting Six club. I hope you will all come again next year. See you soon.
