lol... Great thread! It's very amusing and has cheered me right up after a rubbish day at work. Thankyou all!
Max+Sam, I am fluent in txt but have very little mechanical knowledge. Happy to translate wherever necessary though! We seem to have many members who fail to see the irony of trying to encourage younger members into the fold by berating them for their use of modern language!
Apologies in advance to everyone who takes offence!
I would be happy to translate but being an old git (35) and daughter not intrested in old cars it would be an effort. good to see younger people with dolomites and i hope you still have a craving for them in 6 years time when you can drive them on the road.
Ok im really bad at proper spelling, so bare with me. I learnt to drive im going to try 3rd gear today i can get to second but aiming for 3rd! I have learnt to power slide on wet grass(and spin!) as i have been riding a quad bike since i was 4 but i smashed the exhaust off of it so its broken at the mo!
And to driving them on the road our one has no mot nut were trying to fix it so mum/dad can take us to school in it, but i when im old enough get a better chasa(the thing the car sits on bad spelling!) and put a motor bike engine in there, and go into rallying because thats the only thing ive every driven on(fields!)
Take it easy Max they are a lot easier to break than to fix. I'm not saying don't have fun, there's no safer place to learn than a field all to yourself. You are not the first to be into dollies at your age tho Sam might be a record breaker. Look after it and you could go far, look up the Simmonite sisters sometime. Both started out driving on their parents farm at a similar age to you and are now professional rally driver & codriver. To practice requires the car to not be broken!
