I guess the price of a Sprint engine and manual gearbox for the shell?

While you say the shell is too bad to be saved its worth a really serious apraisal...

Take a shot cill as an example...the parts are sub a ton a side. The rattier the better in some ways as a small hole that you could patch may be hiding loads of horrors underneath whereas one that's totally gone at least means you can see what you've got left to weld to...tis often easier to get rid of a real rotter than one that looks not too bad and takes a lot of cutting off...

One of the worst bits to do is the rear window vent panel above the rear window. A post repairs and rear wing corners can also be a killer I reckon and inner rear arches and boot floor and front scuttle around the screen are also nasty if gone.

For just the cills, floor pans and even chassis rails I wouldn't give it up...
