Midlands Breakfast Club 7th December 2008

#1 Post by Sprint36 »

Anyone fancy it this Sunday? Last one of the year. Check out the link for info:

I'm planning on being there in a Dolomite - not sure which one yet.

Damn, only just seen this. Was it good? Could be a venue for a regular Midlands meet...

Absolutely freezing but an interesting mixture of classic and modern machinery. I thought I was crazy going in a car with no heater, but there was an Ariel Atom there! Have a look here:

Kev, that's not Sindry tape.

Look below the drivers door
Look on the rear corner of the OS wing
Look inside the car behind the tax disc
'crazy going in a car with no heater' Not because it doesn't work, it's not there any more like various other items of ballast.
Tape on the lights on such a car automatically is NOT Sindry tape.

Sindry tape is race car wannabe tape on a road car. See also electric turbos, dump valve sound effect units, fookin great alloyz more hole than metal over discs the size of a CD or teacup sized drums, plastic fake brembo callipers and disks behind said alloyz, one set of 4 Sparco harness pads distributed one per perfectly ordinary seat belt. Etcetera.

Don't worry Kev, I know what you mean! It might still come off though.

Won't be at the Jan meeting so roll on Feb.

Got the Jan date wrong - 18th not 11th so I should be able to make it. Anyone else?
