Anybody who's thinking about buying stuff from Justyn: Do it! He packed my delicate old wireless-related item very strongly so it got here working and without a mark on it.
Chances are I'll have that in the car before the start of the olympics!

Oi!!! That's my r/c player! I distinctly remember buying it in 1985 (in Plymouth Tandys iirc) to fit to a BMW 2500 and forgot to remove it when I scrapped the car a few years later!
Don't suppose I can have it back?
edited to add: It would be nice if it still had my copy of 10CC Greatest Hits in it, but that's probably too much to hope for

Since we are breaking the off-topic rule tonight...
I have one of those in my Sprint, and it's a pretty decent radio! It was out of a Micra in a scrappy - when I took it to the front desk the chap there just laughed and said
"if you're upgrading to that, I feel sorry for you - have it"
It's missing the eject button though, but you can eject the tape by turning the radio off anyway.

[and still on-topic, for which I apologise most grovellingly] Yeah, they rarely come with the buttons, I think that they were designed to fall off so that people would go back to their Sharp dealer and buy a newer machine.
Joe, sorry, but it came without a tape. Hmmph!

Back to o/t again then I s'pose:
Smart Fortwo Brabus. Why?

I've driven the boggo versions and liked them fine, but this 'orrid thing was neither noticeably quicker than an automatic Dolomite nor particularly good at anything apart from making strange, expensive-sounding transmission-related noises and it had quite the worst brakes of anything I've driven apart from a 1967 Land Rover with only one non-seized wheel cylinder. £5900 for a 27000 mile, 2007 example of the Brabus edition on a mixture of worn tyres? Sod that for a lark.

I remember now why I HATED changing spools in Mig welders.
Wire is such a ridiculously horrible thing. Most of it ended up around my arm.
To add insult to injury, it won't go to the torch because someone decided it needed to be coiled up so it was "tidy"
Putting a kink in the liner. Helpful.
Lets get drunk.

Yay - New set of gauges fitted, so hopefully I'll be forewarned if something is about to go wrong

(I got temp, fuel, volts, current, oil pressure and vacuum)
