Also raised the back of the passenger floor to aid in the fitment of
a big center silencer

Have now finished the rear turrets and im moving onto the boot floor then nearly ready to fully tig the cage in,
Then its back to the front end to start final fettling 8) and start making the door molds which will be nice :woohoo:

The exhaust will be 3.5"
Hopefully non of it will be seen even the tailpipe :D
Done a tiny bit today
got a piece of 3"x2" steel
Image
Cut some holes
Image
Made them bigger
Image
And did the same to the other side this took 2.8 lbs out in weight 8)
I then welded it to the bottom of my turrets so i can fit my Mumford link
And i forgot to take any photos :grrr:

Did a little today just toooo hot
I committed to cut some of the boot floor out
Im leaving some of the side in as i want to put my nitrous bottle there for road use :P
Dont know whether to fit one
Image
or two
Image
This is the box i will have both sides of the car when its all welded in
Image
Image
Image
I'm also in a dilemma with what to do with the exhaust exit
Do i have the pipes just showing out of the rear
There will be three ,two 3" and one 2.5"
like this with vents either side
Image
Image
Or do i just hide them ???????????? as it does look like a face drawn on there
Dont know if it would look the same with the pipes sticking out
What you think ? :suntan:
Quick edit ,
The reason for the small exhausts is thats what will take all the exhaust fumes and noise until the
car starts to come on boost then the exhaust gas will be fed into the big pipes ,
Its just so i can potter around town quietly :walkman:

why not bring them up through your boot void and have them exit the middle of the rear panel where the reg plate should go?

I vote hidden or maybe only the small one (2.5" is the small one? I need a lie down) visible to maximise the sleeper effect.
1978 Pageant Sprint - the rustomite, 1972 Spitfire IV - sprintfire project, 1968 Valencia GT6 II - little Blue, 1980 Vermillion 1500HL - resting. 1974 Sienna 1500TC, Mrs Weevils big brown.

If you are putting the rear bumper on you could fabricate a couple of L brackets, pop rivet short leg to underside bumper blade, offset to RHS with two vertical long legs to pop the plate to...

or,

Simply top hinge the plate in correct position so it acts like the lid on a diesel Mack... :D
