Had a job come in on Friday to collect a box from Aberdeen to get to Northern Germany ASAP. Box duly collected and I met the Scottish driver at 10pm Friday night just outside Derby. An uneventful trip to Dover but was greeted by several classics once 'over the water'.
Due to being dark for a lot of the trip and passenger (camera operator) being asleep for 90% of the journey you will have to take my word for it.
In no particular order............
2 x Renault 8's together heading into Calais Port so possibly spotted in England over the weekend
Renault 4
2CV Van
Renault 5 of mid 80's which had every panel damaged but was still tanking along above the speed limit
Lots of Volvos including 141 142 240 340 360
Moggy Traveller (UK registered spotted just outside Zwolle in Holland)
A few Mini's
Audi 90 in 'Well Used' condition. It was for sale but Mrs CC didn't see its potential or fancy driving our car 600 miles home.
Peugeot 404 Estate
Peugeot 505 saloon and estate
Peugeot 305 estate towing a caravan that most Travellers would be happy with albeit rather slowly.
On the way back through Holland on Saturday I managed to rouse the photographer to get a couple of pics.
Spotted this approaching from behind. I was doing slightly over the 130kph speed limit at the time

It passed me and went off into the distance pretty quickly

Then somewhere around Antwerp or possibly back in Belgium this was plodding along

A lot of what we would call classics are just everyday cars in Europe. Only the Peugeot 404 Estate and the 2 Renault 8's looked like they were cared for, the rest being used as intended.
Just as I was about to get off the M40 at Warwick in the early hours of Saturday a Mk2 Transit recovery truck was going Southbound.
