Understanding Engineers No.1
Two engineering students were biking across a university campus when one said, "Where did you get such a great bike?"
The second engineer replied, "Well, I was walking along yesterday, minding my own business, when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike, threw it to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want."
The first engineer nodded approvingly and said, "Good choice, The clothes probably wouldn't have fit you anyway."

After successfully getting my "spare" engine out from under the tarp in the back garden and now installed and all tiddly tidy under the bench in the garage yesterday, I thought today I would find a better way of storing my 2 spare (ex-Zombeh) axles which have just been sitting there doing nothing in the back garden for a couple of years.
So I took the drums off (all seized on) and removed the old linings and internals (linings binned, internals saved). Found the largest Mummy spider ever lurking inside one drum protecting her eggs/nest;
So I carefully removed the lining she was on and put her safely in a dark corner of the shed;
Where I hope she and her babies will be happy.
Once I had cleaned up/lubricated the axles they were neatly stacked out of the way;
Job done.

When did Ad-aware become such a massive steaming pile of unusable crap?
Uninstalled after less than an hour, new record for me I think.

Never mind all the "old car / modern fuel" scare stories. It's "old car / modern car-wash" you need to watch out for!

Three more people on the Bone marrow register and £180 collected in the donation bucket, not bad for a tuesday night gig with less than 200 people.

Understanding Engineers No.2
To the optimist, the glass is half-full.
To the pessimist, the glass is half-empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
