I will eventually update my thread with whats been done,
Havn't felt like doing much to the car as my mother has passed away and its knocked the stuffing out of me.
If i can be bothered i hope to get back on it in the spring as i've lost all enthusiasm at the mo,
watching yours come together may spark me off again ,

+1 Darren. I lost my dad last year and it's absolutely horrible :(, but when I was ready for it I found pushing on a bit with my car helped to keep my mind off things

Time for another update.

The new propshaft I have had made, single piece 3"dia with motorsoprt UJ's to fit sprint gearbox and atlas axle.

Fitted to the car to check for clearance and alignment.

I have cut the back piece out of the standard subframe and made it a bolt piece to aid changing the gearbox. hopefully I won't need to do that to often.

I picked up my lightweight panels from Rob at Sprintspeed on friday.

The plan will be to drill the frames out a bit more to save a bit more weight.

The rear arches are of the same style as the ones I allready have but 1" wider so will give the car a more even look compared to the fronts. They are also somewhat tougher than my others.

Neil where did you get your 4 link kit from
I have ad a look at a few and i didnt like the look of them,
The rear arches look good but how will you fit them to the wing ?
Im getting the enthusiasm back at long last,

The 4 link kit is from Gartrack, the chassis pickup box and axle brackets are mk2 escort, the rods were made to my measurments and the tunnels I made myself.
As for the arches, will probably rivet a 10mm lip then fill over the top or may jsut srew them on and not worry about looks to much.
Glad to hear you are getting the enthusiasm back Darren, it can be tough at times.

Hi Stew
Its a Ford atlas axle from a Capri, In theory you would only have to have to weld the Sprint axle mounts to it and it would fit plus a different prop and some arches is its a fair bit wider. You can get a baby Atlas as fitted to non bubble escorts. For mine though I went with a 6 link suspension and turreted, which meant allot of work.
