Sometimes this bulkhead panel cracks but usually its only Sprints that do this and its the accelerator cable bracket
that flexes and cracks to the hole for the wiring loom. Never seen the clutch side waggle before...

as you press down on clutch pedal the panel its fix to move roughly 4/5mm toward the engine bay
just wondered if anyone else has come across this before, may have to brace it

all done,no more flexing,it was the two little screw that snapt the caused the movement of paneling

just refurb the clutch slave with new seal kit,the correct one(spitfire internals) new master fitted, but now ive got short pedal, bleed it thru both way,in the gearbox and on the bulkhead, but still short pedal and ive noticed the push rod arm take roughly 4/5mm to engage the master piston on the clutch master, have i got the correct rod arm? or should i pack it out with washers to take up the slack? any idea would be grate help

Suspect the new master had a sticky piston. My Rover used to do this...it would eventually come all the way back...
then I discovered its not a Girling cylinder but something funny...
So now it has an ex dolly Sprint Girling master and all is well...

For such a simple system clutch hydraulics really do cause grief....
