Great day. Nice to see Nath's 1300FWD, Vonnyboo's 1500FWD (looks familiar) and Justyn's 1300FWD. When I left, Justyn and Dave P were still hard at it refurbing Justyn's rear suspension. Vonny and Nath had copleted all of the tasks on the 1500FWD (new arial, wing mirrors, interior and boot light and of course, replacing the leaking fuel tank after hammeriting and waxoyling the tank recess). I also managed to finish the valeting of Nath's 1300FWD interior. Nice job too even if I do say so myself. Thanks to Mike for helping me put the seats back in the car.

Finally, many, many many thanks to Ceri for being a star on the regalia front and for having signed several new members to the club. Oh and a big yum yum yum re: the welshcakes. Cor were they nice. Had to sample quite a few just to check for consistent quality you understand. Wow.

I forgot to check out Naths interior at the end of the day
Thanks to all who turned up, we didn't win a prize but it was a good day.

Long distance award goes to Mark Sellers for travelling from the states just to see us getting our hands dirty.

Good to put a face to the name Ceri; Susie is in awe of you/your capabilities/ambitions.

Best have a tub of cakes for Ken and one for the rest of us next time.

I felt a bit useless today for some reason, no energy? Dreadful drive home, it was only Susie's constant squeals that kept me awake. A couple of hours kip later and I feel better...well good enough for a last orders beer anyway.

I've been reminded this evening that every time I go to that curry house I have an off day the next day; but that south indian garlic chilli chicken is so nice at the time! A couple of decent pints of Tim Taylors Landlord has just put me right though.

As for turning right instead of left when we reached the A45...!???

I bet you can't do the trombone Ceri...

Excellent.... my own batch of welshcakes, can't wait. They kept me going during the day they did. Lovely.

Glad you're pleased with the result mate, bloody hard work though. I'd normally do that over a couple of days. There was a lot of interest in the seat cleaning though which I didn't think there would be.

Cheers to all.

Sounds like the show was fun, I'll have to try and make it up to one...

That reminds me of a quote from an A-team Episode:

Customer: Is there anything you guys can't do?
Hannibal: Well, we can't tap. Never had time for the lessons.

Good to meet a few new faces,

Did you ever find those Rover seats Ceri?

I failed spectacularly to buy anything on my shopping list but hey it was still a good day out!

What a great show, was great to meet some of you. It was a long way from the USA but was well worth it. Picked up a few spares to take back. The sill shouldn't be too much agro, I'll strap it to a piece of wood and check it in.

The kids really like their TDC bears by the way.

Cheers

Did you manage to still spend loads and get a whole bootful, then get home and realise you'd not got anything you actually needed? I keep doing that...
