We went, it rained, everyone left.

Still, I had fun!
And it was nice to see another Triumph in my rear view mirror for a change.

It was a good show... But Corvettes are obviously alergic to rain... They all left the second it got wet.

Loads of awesome cars, less packed than when I've been before, but still worth it I think.

Well, Wheels Day was WET, even for Wheels Day.
Mind you, it was still a great show, I think it is great, especially considering it is one of those word of mouth events with no real promotion. Arrived later than planned but that actually meant we could drive straight in, no queues.
Normal great variety of metal on display and a good vibe about the whole thing. Majority of cars American and V8 but that makes it quite nice to arrive in something British.
People did leave very early, following about an hour of relentless rain, which was a shame.
Good to meet Oli and James, good to see some young blood keeping Triumphs on the scene!

Had to finish fitting my seats that morning, hence why we were late, even though I was up at 6 trying to finish stuff off. Still very glad to have given the car it's first proper airing.
Car still missing lots of finishing touches, including bumpers, but still happy with how it is looking so far. The car also attracted the attention of someone from a certain car mag too, who took my number - who knows if it will lead to anything.......
Now to try and get the interior trimmed in time for the New Forest run.
Here are a couple of pics that someone on Retro Rides posted, oh and it actually looks MORE orange in the flesh!
