Many years ago I had a TR4 which suffered a total hose failure while attempting to slow from 100mph to take a side road :shock:
lucky that no one was in front and that I could continue in a straight line using the handbrake.

As mentioned earlier, I also had a TR4, all I can say is that it must have been a VERY LONG STRAIGHT SIDE ROAD, because the hand brake on my TR4 was almost totally useless.

Oh it never made the side road :lol: I had to carry on using handbrake and double de clutching to bring its speed down.
Some of you may know the road as it was Portsdown hill going towards Southwick from ASWE and the tiny Denmead turn was the unobtained road.
I dont remember the flyoff handbrake being bad though.

Ha ha thats the little sucker, I had my apprentice in the car who was a car freak too, when he left and worked in Nottingham he met a TR3 owning friend of mine whilst having a drink in a pub,totally by accident I came up as the only other TR owning nutter they both knew :lol:
