Quality time and repairs will see this car look superb. I'd be interested to poke it with a screwdriver and see how extensive the rot is.

It seems as if the car has been running without this connected due to the thread being burred.

The rot is mainly on the body, although this is still not too bad. the chassis looks pretty good. (so far) Though i will be going over it with a fine tooth comb. The drivers footwell may well need replacing . Are floor sections available?
I will be stripping back to bare metal to see exactly whats needed though.

I am **really** looking forward to seeing this project progress! It is all the things I'd hoped to do with the car.

That's just to hold the cam sprocket up when you take the cam out so the chain stays in place and you don't have to take the front cover off to put it back on and reset the tensioner. If it was attached with the engine running it would not be good :)

Yes.....................

Tubes arrived today. Thanks!
All fitted and rocker cover in place.
Spare battery on charge and i have found some temporary leads to use with the dizzy cap i've ordered.
Fingers crossed that this time next week i will have it running . Then it will be uncovered and go into my garage ready for stripping! :D

Well my new dizzy cap arrived yesterday.
Can anyone tell me the order of the leads to go into the cap? I would set the engine to TDC but its probably quicker to ask you guys.

Also, the leads i though would fit, won't! So has anyone got an old set of sprint leads i could have just to get this fired up to test?
I'm hoping to have time off work next week to finish my garage and get this project rolling.
