They all have a hole in them beside the nipple.
I would imagine the screw is there to stop crap getting into the hole.

Correct!
Though I've tried pushing crap into a hole that size and believe me; it wasn't easy to get the stuff in there.
It's also there to allow the excess grease, on its way back around the scroll, to ooze out without dislodging the gaiter.

Its a waste of time fitting twin carbs unless you are going to sort the head, fit better cam and a better breathing exhaust as well as a decent ignition system.

Fit a standard 1500 head to a 1300? Guaranteed way to lose performance. The 1500 is a longer stroke, so has bigger combustion chambers to get the compression down.
Get the car tidy first, then consider o/drive, or a 1850/late 1500 / ital diff.

I hate to be critical but masking up the lights and removing the grille before painting would really save you time; that overpray would be a s*it to remove. Don't use thinners on the grille, as the plastic goes manky.
Keep going with it - don't give up and weigh her in!

Those tyres appear to be a bit nipped, are those the narrower 4" Toledo/Marina wheels or oversize rubber on 4.5s?

See it's acquired a Maestro wheel already.

It does as it happens.
Sprint alloys on a car that's
not a Sprint? I'm sitting on the fence 'cos some day, in the absence of a sensible alternative, I might be tempted....
OK, OK, I'll whip myself around the head immediately, sorry already.

Best foot forward, you'll kneed one of those small ankle grinders for that sole-destroying welding job so get toe work and you'll have it nailed in no time. A nice shinny paint job will make it quite a thight to behold. You'll probably get it done in about calf an hour.

Rather than kill another Dolly, rusty shed or otherwise, what parts do you need to get both cars on the road at the same time?
