Nice, but not a 15/60

(in spite of the added bonnet mascot from the earlier model). It's the late Maurice Cole's 5 bearing, 1798cc MGB-engined (with overdrive, 4-synchro MGB gearbox) 16/60, seen here parked beside my Oxford VI in the car park at the 1987 Bristol Classic Car Show, in Bristol, in 1987

It was, so my C.O.O.C. member friend tells me, restored again in about 2003 and its original plate reinstated as the family kept MHC103 back.

(Steel wings for the 1500 and 1622 Farinas are currently only £300 per pair and are remanufactured ones that fit. Hmm, I wonder which other British classic could use this kind of availability?)
