Definitely!! Should never of sold it in the first place, but I can't alter the past, its been good tracking it down and getting it back. Sadly since I last owned it the rear sub frame mounting points are rotten so it needs some welding work and various other bits need doing to get it to to a high standard. Its a very original car, with 43,000 genuine miles from new on the clock. If you saw the inside its like a time warp, hardly any wear in it. I'll be laying up the car while I do the work, and hopefully 2 years time it'll be tax exempt and back on the road.

I do need to replace rear shockers and get an original style exhaust if anyone has one (would save a few pennys rather than going to rimmers)

Cheers

Steve

Persistence, so many years, it must feel sweet now.

I wouldn't leave the car laid up though, some usage every month will help keep parts moving and help rubbery bits stay supple.

Yeah I know what your saying, but until the welding is done I'm not driving it. I've got a TR6 on the road so that keep the enthusiasm alive. And I enjoy repairing the cars as much as I enjoy driving them. Unlike when I'm doing it for a living having the wip cracked, with the old cars there different, with no silly electrics. I find I can do them at my pase so its relaxing repairing them. Just doing a little at a time keeps me happy with the dolly

Glad you tracked it down. Like you said, you can do the Dolly at your leisure. Don't forget to start a thread in the "resto" section to document your progress.

Well what can be said for the love of cars. I've had a couple of nice drives with it since getting it back, its now in the process of a mechanical light overhaul. No rush to get it on the road, just doing it right. I'll link a few YouTube videos as the progress goes

Cheers
