After the dirty jobs the next thing to do was coat it all underneath to protect the work done.

The colour was chosen by eye as the paint shop didn't have anything to help, I also never took anything to compare it with Doh !
Still, close enough.

Whilst waiting for the paint to dry a quick mock up with the lights was done.

The old subframe and a few other bits were taken to the local powder coaters for a clean and paint.

This saved a lot of time and was worth the end result.

Another coat of paint and it was left to dry for a day or so :

Before the shiny bits were put on

The car was then flipped back over for an arty shot.

Under the bonnet and in the boot were cleaned ready for painting.They were then undercoated stone chipped and painted.

The engine and gearbox were then put back in and then the tasks of starting it/ getting it ready for an mot etc were started.

I had made a choice to try and finish the car before the tax disc system was stopped so the car would have its last tax disc to display.Dunno why just seemed like the right thing to do.

I agree Anthony, in fact you had to get two tax discs just for good measure!
