I'll get it tidied up in a weekend or two, put proper rubber mounts on it, hide the exhaust a bit more with a sloping exit 8)

the new rear occupant gassing insurance invalidating cheapskate exhaust of the year competition...

With your welding skills you could at least have made an effort at following the original pattern...
Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.

Do exhausts have to exit the car? I feel the rear boot line, the under side of it atleast, get's ruined by an exhaust running along it. What about na over axle pipe and then thats it? Makes the car look much tidier I'd say

Run the pipe over the axle, borrow next doors steel dustbin and weld it to the overaxle pipe then pretend you one of the cossie boys.

Just use you peco and run a straight pipe over axle and into Peco at back, dump the middle box that will give you a NO (middle box) some SHOW and maybe some GO

And how many 90 degrees are in an over axle pipe?

None.

Well considering that section of pipe with the 90 degree bend in is a cut down over axle pipe I'd say a few more than none

You got one bad over-axle exhaust then!

Mine has 4 smoothly radiused turns, to minimise the drop in exhaust gas velocity.

Is the Rimmers system really that bad?

........Oh yes.......How I'd forgotten

it's not a cut up rimmers system

I have a new design anyway. for when its sprint powered. straight pipe from down pipe, an incy wincy silencer, the pipe under the axle if possible, a Y piece then two exits just off the centre line of the car. After driving mine with no exhaust from the down pipe back it won't take much to make it acceptable :)

Doesn't make it any perform any better, unfortunately

Shame you can't tone it down to like a 60 degree but I guess even then that'd mean shuffling it about so much that it would be more hassle than benifit.

If it ain't broke and all that........
pipe under the axle if possible
Braver man than me! I suspect it might not last long there but you'd have to trial fit something and see if it snagged or snatches on the ground under load

But that should work perfectly well - in fact, it's really not that far off what the Janspeed system was, barring the tailpipe :)

good stuff. The cars an inch lowered at the back, I may go firmer and lower again, so it would just be easier.

So lets mess with the side profile instead, when sitting in traffic in town blow poisons over all of the pedestrians and risk our exhaust being ripped off at the slightest change in road surface!.

Why not french in a larger tube through the cill box section and have a nice rearward swept twin pipe exiting through that?
