I love your car, looks sweet!

I would guess that there is as least supposed to be a right way round to fit the cover, as there are long gussets let into the top of the "back" (as you've fitted it in the photos) and much shorter gussets at the "front". However, as the Dolly is basically a three-box saloon, it still isn't clear which that right way is!

Mine is different and fits a lot better than yours. I wonder if they have changed it?
Mine has a diverging double seam at the front end and a single at the back with 2 tie down straps just inboard of each wheel. I dont reckon it is dolomite specific
as claimed, so there I agree with you. It seems identical to the stag one.

Funnily enough mine both blew off today. I maybe was a bit lax with the underneath straps but in the past they stayed on in a hurricane which took off a section of my house's roof.

Maybe it was an unlucky combo of wind direction or vortex.

So the stag is nice and wet...but pretty clean.

Hey ho it will dry off tomorrow, so I'll give it a polish and put it all back on.

No noticeable scratches after 2 years cant be bad.

Now wonder where my dustbin is....

I agree with your findings BF. I can't tell which way around it should goes either. I bought mine in Feb. 2013, so just over 2 years ago. I looked at the cover yesterday and it has pretty much had it. The top layer is peeling away all over the place. I'm not sure how long they are supposed to last but I'm pretty disappointed.

Did some research, i didnt realise that these covers are mass produced and sold by various companies. Mine came from coverzone and in my ignorance thought they were developed by them and they produced them for distribution. Probably some far east country pumps them out and they don't actually have access to cars to make them to measure. Probably they look on the internet for general lengths of cars and guess that number SD456HH they have should fit cars of a particular size etc.

Although it is clear that i am very disappointed with my expensive purchase, Coverzone were extremely helpful and fast handling of my order, the mini cover i got from them before the Dolomite one is perfect.

My StormForce ones are starting to disintegrate on the top outer layer after 3 and a bit years....

I guess its cheaper than a garage....

Be far better spending money on a Gazebo type garage..........
1. You can secure them down.
2. Allows air to circulate around the car.
3. No contact with the car thus no scratches or abrasion marks...........


Car covers are ok for a quick remedy but for for permanent coverage NFG!!!!!!!
