So are you saying it came in under the scheme because if it did I cannot see how that could of happened as a certificate of destruction would of been issued by the supplying dealer for the new car before it reached the yard?

I found it a hard ask to get 1500 quid for a rubber bumper bgt with a new MoT.
I wouldnt have blamed anyone for trading one in for 2 grand off a new car.

I had also heard that some cars gained an "MoT" on the way to be traded in. Sort of on the grounds it was about to be crushed, and maybe not as strict as it should have been.
May be interesting to see which of the cars had a fresh MoT just before their swan song. I reckon a few of what appear to be "desirable" cars were actually complete dogs that were unlikely to see the road again.

I got behind a Volvo 850 on a W plate today that proudly displayed a "I Survived the Scrappage Scheme" sticker in the back window.

See why you thought it not possible.
You cannot buy a new Integrale so this car was not subject to the scheme but was going to be scrapped if nobody repaired and recommisioned it.
