We've also got to remember that not all Club members use the forum and and not all forum members are Club members (non-Club members are more than welcome to come to the meetings). I know that Steve W. hasn't been in good health lately so that's probably why we haven't seen him for a few months.

The next meeting is Tuesday 5th May. I know it's the day after the Bank Holiday but that's how the dates fall. I'm keeping the meetings monthly for now...

It was just me and Bob. I will keep the meetings monthly and I'm hoping the lighter nights and warmer weather will entice a few more to come along.

Last night's meeting was a slightly improved attendance with myself, Bob and Trevor.

The next metting will take place on Tuesday 7th July.

Just to let everyone know, there won't be an August meeting because I'll be on holiday that week. I'm also going to give the whole thing a rethink. I'll make a final decision at the next meeting.

I was just reading this and it struck me as a bit odd. What is the significance of that Dave, do you hold the meetings in your house or something? Just curious.

I'm going camping the first week in August down in Cambridgeshire. Maybe I could hold the meeting down there

I think the main reason that we decided that we will miss out the August meet is that most meetings only Dave and myself turn up and I'll get lonely all on my own.

I know Trevor can now attend more as his course is now finished but that's only three members who turn up. We have had the odd chat about the future of these Yorkshire meetings and as Dave has said in an earlier post he's going to have a think and this next meeting it will be on the agenda. It is highly likley that the format will change so if you have any ideas for the future, or reasons why you don't come and what would motivate you to come, either come to this one or post your ideas here. Personally I enjoy them I wouldn't turn up every month if not but the lack of turn out is very dissapointing. Dave has suggested making them every two months. Having fist suggested we start up these meetings at my first NDD now I have suggested if support isn't going to grow we basically call it a day and the three of us meet up closer to home in a local pub for a pint.

I know Dave has contacted some members who have been to past meetings and now find the day inconvenient. We know you can't please everyone but if a different day would make it more appealing let Dave know he may be able to change it.

I'm open to all suggestions. I had to make a decision to get it started and I'm willing to make changes if necessary. I've got a small e-mail list so we'll see if that generates a bit more support. It is looking like I'm going to have the meetings bi-monthly and maybe they might be a bit better attended. Something else I'm considering is to join forces with the TSSC and hold a joint meeting. Their meetings are always quite well attended (even in the winter months) and I've known them for the last 12 years that I've been attending the meetings.
