Oh that's a relief, I'm very happy for you.

Only a local authority could change the locks on a garage and confirm it is empty...with a car still sitting inside!

Not always true. My rustomite, Spitfire body, a couple of engines and deity knows what else are still in a lockup near where I used to live (a mere 3 years ago). A while back I got a call to say one of the housing association vans had been doing their checking rounds and found my garage wide open, no report on the contents. At the time I was contracting 15 miles away so was able to go and check, not a thing touched.

There's currently a planning notice on our gate post, I think you can probably guess what for. Those wheels had already begun to turn when the above happened but the engine turning the wheels got upgraded to a 6 litre v8 toot sweet.
