And it was a decent turnout with Me, Bob, Trevor, Roger and Keith. I mentioned Drive It Day and some of us aren't keen on having NDD on Father's Day. It has been suggested that I ask other local Area Organizers for some input and the ones that come to mind are the Northwest and the Northeast ones. Ripon was mentioned but I'm unable to commit until I know when I'm going away on holiday.

I forgot to mention that the next meeting will take place on the 3rd of May.

I've been to this month's local TSSC meeting and they're not going to the Carding Shed on Drive It Day because they've been told that it is going to be really busy on the day. We can either go anyway (a few of us might not make any difference), we can go along with whatever the TSSC decide to do instead, do something else ourselves or we can just forget the whole thing which would be a real shame.

Dave, what about a run to Embsay Bolton Abby steam railway. Its not too far and could be spit between a train ride and then Bolton Abby itself or Skipton.

If anyone's car isn't on the road then they could take their daily drivers and still join in.

We've discussed going there before so I need to move fast and once I've worked out a route, I'll be sending out an e-mail. Any ideas about where we can all meet up?

Bob, if it has to be the MG the so be it. Hope you can get your headlights sorted. I had a similar issue with my mirrors. I only needed the interior mirror but it was still failed anyway and the two testers had different opinions. I decided it was not worth arguing over a door mirror even though it is clearly stated in the MoT regulations what mirrors are required.

How about meeting up at a supermarket car park? I'm still working on a route so watch this space...

This is the cunning plan...

We meet up at Bradford Crown Court (BD1 1JA is the postcode) which is at the back of the Great Victoria Hotel. We take local roads to Keighley, Steeton, Silsden and Addingham. When we reach the A59 we turn right and take the top road round Bolton Abbey as far as Appletreewick then we make our way towards Bolton Abbey itself. When we get to the A59 we turn right and make our way towards Embasy with the final destination being the Cavendish Arms. I've driven some of these roads in my Dolomite 1300 so they shouldn't present any problems.

I haven't been round there for a few years. It might be better if we meet on Drake Street opposite the T&A.

That's double yellows now so we couldn't hang around to wait for someone. What about somewhere like Halfords car park.
Do you have an idea how many are coming yet and where from. That could decide a better meeting place. My car will I hope be ready every, things coming together, but still not 100% so we may all be going in yours and need car parking for the day for our dailies.

Bob, I don't think double yellows will matter on a Sunday morning. We don't have to be on Drake Street itself but we don't have to be right at the back on the unmade part either. I've had to hastily rearrange things at the last minute. I've not had any response from anyone aside from you so it could be just us...

ok But I still may not make it as it looks like mine is going to be pushing it to the wire. Hope to get some more bits from Doncaster tomorrow and then when everything's fitted and all finished it needs re MOT.
