The Rimmers kit has this interwoven backing you mention. Sort of a thick hessian, but green.

Whats the view, ignoring any quality issues, on the best colour match to the original. I ordered a Rimmer set years ago and remember thinking the colour was totally wrong, so sent it back. The problem with the Brown carpet is that it needs to look good with the seats, door apaturer edge trim and door cards, which in them selves are two tone. I would love to see some pictures and hope to see some examples at the meet in September.
