right, adams descending on us around 7 others are welcome around the same time, a little earlier or later. I have no idea when we will finish up - was around 2:30 last time iirc (and thats in doubt!)

several people have tentatively said they will be here, several have confirmed, should be a great evening regardless....perhaps you could let me know if you are planning on popping in...

well we were down on numbers a little as Mr Tinweevil and Stoney both had their cars out of action. Stoneys decided not to play on the way down - hope it gets sorted) and Mr Tinweevils we all know about.

So it was Dave Poth, Richard 4040, ben (another of the sindreys) Justyn1300dolly, mrs1300dolly, adam, nickc and myself.

Adam showed us his flame generation machine, nick did a few test drives for people and we played a few games of pool, some darts ate a pizza or two and drank a couple of shandies.

Image

justyns decision to stay was made for him halfway through the evening and much catching up was done!

Adam wasn't quite as well organised as before so ended up camping in the garden. only finding two tent pegs made keeping the tent upright was a challenge, but it seemed to survive the night (I say night as 03:20 when everyone retired is almost morning). 4 bodies emerged from it in the morning..one after the other they almost tripped over the peg bag full of pegs!

Image

then went off and bought some slices of pig for a boys scout style cookout on the patio.

Adam took the opportunity of trying out the tyre swing.

this is him in all his glory, I didn't capture the one where he crashed into the tree. No need to sound too worried, I have checked...the tree is ok.

Image

Adam proclaimed that the chickens following him around the garden looked like dinosaurs (I'm guessing they don't have many chickens in wales) and Richard 4040 discussed the relative design characteristics and how suitable for off roading bobtailed chickens seem to be.

Some leisurely bypassing of night dimming relays, a lot of standing around being apathetic (that was all of us) conversations like the following:

Adam - (holding carrier bag ready to receive mucky shock absorber.)
Richard 4040 - are those lowered
Adam - no theyre just standard carrier bags

and a bit of wheel arch grinding later and adam was on his way with his merry crew a few spare parts and his impressive fuel economy (see other thread).

and not to forget Ben proving that the Welsh education system needs fixing by asking questions like "so where do foxes live?" and "how do chickens make eggs?"

Still can't work out why Richard thought it was wierd that I had a spare headlamp in my car though...
