Should it be full with oil ? Going to remove the cable tomorrow and do a bit more digging it see what I can find. Thanks

Yes, sorry just above the tops of the pistons will be fine. Filling it up won't do it any harm!Should it be full with oil ?

After looking in there couldn't see any oil although the pistons move up and down very smoothly will top it up in the morning and have a fiddle to see what I can find.

Oil level in SU's should be just below the top of the sliding piston and needs a top up every 1000 miles...
I use ATF as its got the same viscosity over a wider temp range.
