Checked the lumenition module in the dizzy, seems properly secured no sign of shorting. I have put the 12 volt Bosch blue coil in with an 0.8 Ohm ballast resistor ignition volts to coil around 12.5 volts while running/up to temperature. Coil does not get warmer than 50°c now so a good 20°c cooler than before.

Im trying out some cold air feed hoses to see if its happier than the standard. Found Old top radiator hose a pretty good size for this but will get some light weight ducting in a few days

Errr isn't a bosch blue meant to be non ballasted?

Yes Jon but a small ballast is in to limit the ignition volts to the coil as per previous posts its running fine amd not getting ridiculously hot now as it was before without ballast
