Two of my sprints have a Hyundai one. I accidentally had to MOT a H100 and thought it was exactly the same and it was. I did buy them about 10+ years ago.
The only difference is that the threads are metric. You can screw in an adapter union first or when fabricating new lines fit an metric union at one end.

Re: Sprint brake compensator
That was ME! The limiting valve I used is from the rear of a disc rear braked Cavalier III 2.0 liter. (Other Vauxhall models use the same thing) It is still in place on the Carledo, 5 years down the line and functioning perfectly. I've left it on, even though I have converted to TJ brakes and it is no longer really needed. But during the huge storm we experienced on Friday last, I was out in the car and had to stop a bit sharpish. The front wheels locked momentarily, but the rears didn't - case proven! It needs to be fitted in the front to rear metal pipe and comes with metric fittings, so a bespoke pipe is needed but it is only about 3" long and 0.75" in diameter so it's pretty unobtrusive! it's also only about £15 for one!cleverusername wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2017 7:42 pm I had a similar issue to you, I am converting a 1500 to Sprint spec, so I had no load valve. Got one in the end, but while I was looking a member posted saying they had used a limiting valve off a Vauxhall.
It wasn't a load sensing valve, if I remember correctly, but one which permanently limited the pressure going to the back brakes. He had run it for some time and had no issues. It might be something to look into if you get stuck.

Re: Sprint brake compensator
Well that put a conclusive end to several other threads

Re: Sprint brake compensator
Is it? I had such cars also as a student which wouldn't lock up at all.

If you were like every other student i've ever met, that was because your car didn't HAVE brakes!!(which are a cost option on student cars - and students have no money!)

My very light and wide tyred Carledo running TJ brakes is QUITE willing to lock the fronts on a soaking wet road! You have to treat the brakes with respect under these conditions. The lock was only momentary cos as soon as I heard the tyres scrunch I instinctively eased the pedal pressure a little.
I don't even think about it any more, it just happens! I now have an ABS system in my head!
