My fwd is a def for the stand, it even has the TDC banner in the windscreen

, was hoping to ruild the rear suspension, hubs, brakes ect but if anyone can come up with something more inventive to do with it im open to suggestions that don't require a sprint engine.

Yup. PM me the details and we'll get something sorted.

if you think you could use the Triumph World Toledo, it is now taxed and tested.
It will either be resprayed or need preparation by Oct!
Drop me a PM or e-mail. I would have to run it past TW first though.

I like the sound of having a tolly and fwd on the club stand.
I can see it know 'scuse guv but why are you called the dolomite club?'

Awww c'mon guys. Doing the interior of MWK would make quite a change from the 'normal' stuff that gets done. Especially if we take the seats out and do it all 'in the open' so to speak. people would be able to see the before and after thing too

I'm up for the idea, it's an "easy" thing to do (compared to some of the other stuff we've tried) and will give us an opportunity to get three cars on the stand whilst not having big things to do on three cars. Plus it means we get two 1300 FWDs on the stand.

Do easy things win prizes?

Well no, but we will be doing at least one piece of major reconstructive surgery on Justyn's car, and then something else too. I'd quite like something noisy.

The application form has been submitted, so we should get an idea of how much space we've been allocated sometime before the show
hopefully. This might pose a problem because at previous Resto shows, we've only found out exactly how much space we have after we've arrived at the showground. It's not easy to plan your display under those circumstances! The situation
might be made worse by the fact that the "main man", Neil Bateman recently passed away.
What I would suggest is that interested parties should get their heads together and decide on two "definates" and one or two "reserves". This gives us a bit of insurance in the event that we end up with more space than expected or if one of the "definates" can't make it at the last minute.
As mentioned in other posts, we are not going to win prizes for polishing a car, but on the other hand, the overdrive conversion which we attempted (but still completed) at the last show was a bit much. On the other hand, the straight engine swap which we completed a few years ago went swimmingly. Planning and co-ordination is the key to this - unfortunately we were a bit stretched on these skills last time...

Isn't my title "Events Co-ordinator"?
Fair point, we should have had some more organisation going on. This year I will bring a clipboard.
I'm quite enamoured with the idea of not having any dolomites on the stand at all, but this remains to be seen. As regards work to do, we will be doing a suspension rebuild on Justyn's 1300, which should be pretty good fun, and there are several other offers of cars for the stand.
I'll go back through this thread this evening and do a poll for the "other" car, based on the assumption we have room for two cars, with Nathan's 1300 being the third if we have the room. So anybody else with interesting things to be done, pipe up.

Like it said in a previous post MWK is only 10 min drive away from stoneleigh so can be bought up at the last min if needed, so no worries about it having to come 60miles or so!
Do think however the stand does need at least 1 dolomite as the club is the dolomite club..(but it would look good with 2 FWD dressed up as twins)
Dave i shall await a PM or reply on here from you to let me know whats happening!!
