Is the no electronic ignition due to regulations in a racing series? Otherwise I can't see the point of sticking with old tech. Points and condensers are an inherently crap way of switching a coil, an electronic system is far superior.
Len's Sprint is probably the most original early one in existence being low mileage and never been restored, as such it is key as acting as reference point for anyone wishing to restore the very early cars. To that end Len makes every step to keep it historically correct.
It is probably only 2nd to the one at the Coventry Museum but in much better condition
Sounds a cracking car, any photos on here of it?

Intermotor stuff bought from MG club shop on my Sprint, been fine for the past 5 years. No I don't own an MG, they're just local, and I like to park my Sprint in the car park so that the MG owners get a look at a proper car that shifts.

Lovely looking Sprint that!
Current fleet: '75 Sprint, '73 1850, Daihatsu Fourtrak, Honda CG125, Yamaha Fazer 600, Shetland 570 (yes it's a boat!)

Past fleet: Triumph 2000, Lancia Beta Coupe, BL Mini Clubman, Austin Metro, Vauxhall Cavalier MK1 & MK2, Renault 18 D, Rover 216 GSI, Honda Accord (most expensive car purchase, hated, made out of magnetic metal as only car I've ever been crashed into...4 times), BMW 318, Golf GTi MK3 16v x 3
